This four-light Ardbeg pendant combines a long curved oak stave with hanging bulbs and black chain suspension. I handcraft it in my one-person Scottish workshop near Loch Lomond, retaining the grain and character of the reclaimed timber.

Wood from a specific whisky cask

The stave used for this light comes from Ardbeg cask number 2664, filled in 2004. The markings on the wood identify that particular cask. They tell you exactly where the material came from, connecting this handmade piece to a real part of Scotland's whisky history.

I work with the oak's natural curve and finish it by hand, keeping its individual grain and character.
