In 2018, this oak was filled with Caol Ila spirit and laid down to rest above the strait. When the cask was finally emptied, we brought a single stave home to our wee workshop on the Highlands and Lowlands border. We sanded it gently, preserved its hard-earned patina, and engraved the original cask details into its face: 2018. CAOL ILA.
