Glenlivet 1997 Whisky Barrel Stave Wall Sign
£65.00
I make this Glenlivet Whisky Barrel Wall Decor to order in my one-person workshop near Loch Lomond, engraving and finishing each reclaimed oak stave myself.
A favourite whisky can be part of your home beyond the bottle shelf. This Glenlivet wall decoration uses a reclaimed oak stave, shaped by its earlier role in a cask and prepared by hand for a new place on your wall.
I make every piece to order in my small, one-person workshop near Loch Lomond in Scotland. Working with reclaimed oak means following the material: its grain, colour and natural curve give each stave a character of its own.
Real cask oak, engraved in my workshop
The wood comes from a Glenlivet cask 4083, filled in 1997. I engrave the cask details myself in the workshop to identify the source of the oak. The engraving is part of my making process, not an original distillery marking.
The year 1997 records when the cask was filled. It does not state how long the whisky matured or how old the finished wall decoration is.
A place in your home
Hang it above a sideboard, in a reading corner or beside your whisky collection. The oak works with traditional furniture and woven fabrics, while the simple outline also suits a modern dining room. Its natural curve creates a little depth against a plain wall.
A thoughtful gift for a whisky lover
Choose this piece for someone whose favourite dram is Glenlivet. It offers a lasting way to enjoy a favourite whisky through an object made for the home. For a birthday, anniversary or housewarming, the connection between the name and the actual cask wood makes the choice personal.
Made individually for your order
Your piece will be a similar stave from the same cask, made especially for your order, rather than the exact board shown in the photographs. Grain, shade and natural marks vary between staves. I finish each one with natural linseed oil, allowing the oak's individual appearance to remain part of the design.

Frequently asked questions
What whisky wall art would suit a modern living room?
A single curved stave introduces natural texture without needing a whole themed room. This Glenlivet piece can sit above a sideboard or near a drinks cabinet, keeping the display simple while giving it a specific whisky connection.
What is an unusual gift for a Glenlivet fan?
A wall decoration made from genuine Glenlivet cask oak gives a favourite whisky a place beyond the bottle shelf. I make each piece to order, so the recipient receives an individually finished stave with its own grain and colour.
Can whisky barrel wall decor work in a modern home?
Yes. A single curved oak stave brings natural texture to clean lines and plain walls. Display it above a sideboard or alongside a few personal objects, allowing the wood and engraving to be the focal point.
What makes a handmade cask stave an authentic whisky gift?
The authenticity comes from the reclaimed cask wood and its known source. I add the engraving in my Scottish workshop to record that connection. Each order uses a different stave from the same cask, so natural differences are part of the finished gift.
An independent handmade product by Barrel Craft Studio, not affiliated with or endorsed by Glenlivet. The distillery name and workshop engraving identify the provenance of the reclaimed wood.
About this piece
Reclaimed oak from Glenlivet cask 4083, filled in 1997. I handcraft this wall piece to order in my workshop near Loch Lomond, keeping the stave’s natural curve and individual grain. I engrave the source details myself: these are workshop engravings identifying the oak, rather than original distillery markings. Your piece is made from a similar stave from the same cask, so its shade and natural marks will vary. A personal connection to a favourite whisky, shaped into something to enjoy at home.
