Talisker 1994 Whisky Barrel Stave Wall Art Reclaimed Oak
£65.00
I make this Talisker 1994 Whisky Barrel Stave Wall Art to order in my one-person workshop near Loch Lomond, engraving and finishing each reclaimed oak stave myself.
A Talisker cask stave can carry a favourite whisky into the home in a different form. I prepare this reclaimed oak wall art and engrave it myself in my workshop, respecting the character already present in the timber.
I make every piece to order in my small, one-person workshop near Loch Lomond in Scotland. Working with reclaimed oak means following the material: its grain, colour and natural curve give each stave a character of its own.
Real cask oak, engraved in my workshop
The wood comes from a Talisker cask 1707, filled in 1994. I engrave the cask details myself in the workshop to identify the source of the oak. The engraving is part of my making process, not an original distillery marking.
The year 1994 records when the cask was filled. It does not state how long the whisky matured or how old the finished wall decoration is.
A place in your home
Place it above a home bar, beside a dining table or along a hallway with photographs and artwork. Oak works well with pale walls and natural fabrics, while its curved outline also adds interest to a modern room with straight furniture and dark fittings.
A thoughtful gift for a whisky lover
Choose this piece for a Talisker lover celebrating a milestone or making a new home. It offers a lasting way to enjoy a favourite whisky through an object made for the home. For a birthday, anniversary or housewarming, the connection between the name and the actual cask wood makes the choice personal.
Made individually for your order
Your piece will be a similar stave from the same cask, made especially for your order, rather than the exact board shown in the photographs. Grain, shade and natural marks vary between staves. I finish each one with natural linseed oil, allowing the oak's individual appearance to remain part of the design.

Frequently asked questions
How can I display a love of Talisker without adding more bottles?
An engraved stave gives that interest a place on the wall. This piece uses oak from Talisker cask 1707, filled in 1994, and works beside photographs, books or a small home-bar display.
What is an unusual gift for a Talisker fan?
A wall decoration made from genuine Talisker cask oak gives a favourite whisky a place beyond the bottle shelf. I make each piece to order, so the recipient receives an individually finished stave with its own grain and colour.
Can whisky barrel wall decor work in a modern home?
Yes. A single curved oak stave brings natural texture to clean lines and plain walls. Display it above a sideboard or alongside a few personal objects, allowing the wood and engraving to be the focal point.
What makes a handmade cask stave an authentic whisky gift?
The authenticity comes from the reclaimed cask wood and its known source. I add the engraving in my Scottish workshop to record that connection. Each order uses a different stave from the same cask, so natural differences are part of the finished gift.
