This whisky barrel stave wall clock is a 90 cm (36 inch) horizontal timepiece, hand-cut from a single oak stave that once curved around a barrel of maturing Scotch. It keeps the cask's natural curve, deep char and original hoop marks, and runs on a silent quartz movement (single AA battery included) with a keyhole fixing on the back so it's ready to hang straight from the box. In our wee workshop on the Highlands and Lowlands border, we sanded back the years of grime, preserved the deep char of the toasted interior, and gave it a new purpose: marking the hours in your home. The oak comes from a retired Scotch whisky cask, sourced here in Scotland near our Loch Lomond workshop. Each stave spent years inside a working barrel before we gave it a second life as this clock, which is why the char and hoop marks are genuine.

There's a keyhole fixing already fitted on the back, so you just need a single screw or wall hook. At around 2 kg it's light enough for a standard fixing on most walls — no special bracket required.
