Whisky Barrel Stave Wall Clock

Time, Told in Oak.

For years, this single stave curved around a barrel of Scotch whisky, holding the spirit safe while it slept. The wood breathed. It darkened. It took on the soul of the malt inside. When the cask was finally emptied and broken down, most of the staves were destined for the scrap pile — but not this one.

In our wee workshop on the Highlands and Lowlands border, we sanded back the years of grime, preserved the deep char of the toasted interior, and gave it a new purpose: marking the hours in your home.

A Statement Piece, Not a Filler

This isn't a small, round clock that disappears into a wall. At 90cm (36 inches) long, the Whisky Barrel Stave Wall Clock is a horizontal feature — built to draw the eye above a mantelpiece, behind a home bar, or along a hallway where most decor wouldn't fit. The natural curve of the stave catches the light. The hoop marks tell you exactly where iron once held it tight.

The clock face sits flush in the centre of the stave, with bold hour markers, minute hand, and a sweeping second hand — all powered by a silent-running quartz movement. No ticking. No interruption. Just the warm honey tones of aged oak doing the talking.

  • One-of-a-Kind Markings — Every stave carries unique char, grain, and patina

The Gift That Earns a Second Look

When the whisky lover in your life unwraps this, they don't see a clock. They see a piece of a distillery. It's the housewarming gift that anchors a new home, the retirement present that says thank you for your time, and the wedding gift that outlasts the marriage photos on the wall.

Bring a Piece of the Cask Home

Each stave is unique — variations in colour, grain, and char are part of the character, not flaws. When this one finds its wall, the next will look different.

Add to basket and let your wall keep time the Scottish way. Slàinte.
